“I Am a Man” is honored to be playing two festivals this weekend: the Charlotte Film Festival and the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival in Birmingham.

Memphis Tourism Foundation Executive Director Calvin Taylor and writer/co-producer John Hubbell will appear on a panel about documentary filmmaking at Queens University this Saturday; our film will appear there on Sunday. Details on the panel here; showing here.

Meanwhile our film will also appear at Sidewalk, and what a great venue: the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. Details here.

We’ll post video of our trip to Charlotte here soon. Next up, we head to Louisville, Indie Memphis and Hot Springs. Details on those upcoming screenings shortly.

Wow! What a man, what a man … that Mr. Nickleberry.
Applause to the Memphis Tourism Foundation for being bold enough to capture and present stories about these often overlooked men and their wives. They changed the world … as I watched what happened in Memphis in ‘68 from my urban window. Righ on.
